Re: Donkey Kong Country 2 - The Lost Levels [RELEASED]

I chose floating IPS. However, when I tried to choose an output file,
FloatingIPS.PNG
FloatingIPS.PNG (32.93 KiB) Viewed 822038 times

I got the error:
FloatingIPSerror.PNG
FloatingIPSerror.PNG (2.6 KiB) Viewed 822038 times

Does that have anything to do with choosing a .smc file as an output file?

Re: Donkey Kong Country 2 - The Lost Levels [RELEASED]

Hi everyone. I really want to play this hack. I got some healthy, working copies of DKC2 SNES roms, but when I try to open the attachments in LucasRangel's post of this thread, this happens: DKC2_hack_problem.PNG It's been years since I've patched a rom, and I've forgotten how. Can I use Lunar IPS (...

Re: FL Studio

I'd be happy to lend a hand from time to time if you need a bit of guidance through any stage of your project; I've done all of what you've mentioned, so I can assure you it's not too difficult to do, but help is available if you need it. :) Well, Christmas is still a month in a half away, so I it ...

FL Studio for composing custom DKC music

For this Christmas, I said I wanted FL Studio. However, there are too many versions on amazon.com to choose from. I don't know which version I need to ask for. Basically, I need to be able to extract SNES music from the Donkey Kong Country game roms, and use bits and pieces of it to compose my own c...

Re: Forum suggestions: layout, features, settings etc.

I've noticed the different ranking names given to users:

Newcomer, Tourist, Treasure Hunter, Atlas Author, Sage of DIscovery, etc.

I'm curious. Is there a list of ranking names with descriptions on how to earn those ranks?

Phyreburnz, what tool or software do you use to make custom DKC levels?

Leo Core, you should that boss in DKC4: The Kongs Return. He should be King Zing Sting's brother or something.

Re: Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return

Judging from the "DKC4: the Kongs Return" demo, it looks like the beginning of the story line is the aftermath of K. Rool's big ship crashing into and damaging the mainland near Kiddy's Hideout. But if all 4 of the kongs are playable, who did K. Rool kidnap? Or has the story line not been ...

Re: Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return

Cool, thanks :) Say, something I've been wanting to ask you: DKC1: King K. Rool (crowned king) DKC2: Captain K. Rool (pirate captain) DKC3: Baron K. Roolenstein (mad scientist) DKC4: ? What are your plans for K. Rool's ego in DKC4? A dark wizard? Some kind of mutant? A cyborg? An army general? A gho...

Re: Tools For My Ultimate Dream

How much did you know (or need to know) about C++ when you first started building DKCRE?

Re: Tools For My Ultimate Dream

Cool, C++! I took a C++ course in school last semester (and I still have the my textbook and assignments from it). Is that really what you use to build the GUI and interface of DKCRE?

Re: Tools For My Ultimate Dream

Yeah. Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer goes for $369.00 on amazon.com. Not too bad. I can get it in about a month.

Say, on SMWCentral.net, there is a huge, diverse section of free hacking tools. Are there a bunch of DKC hacking tools on DKC Atlas, or is most DKC development done in Multimedia Fusion 2?

Re: Donkey Kong Country 4: The Kongs Return

The next step after we launch this new demo, the full game will mount. I can't wait, I have been waiting since 2011. :D Wait... does this mean that the game is almost done? Is it too late for me to go buy Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer (and learn how to use it) to help with the game's development th...

Re: Tools For My Ultimate Dream

Moderator Edit: Please don't quote posts right above yours (and keep quotes short when you do need to use them!)

So then, to get started, I should go find a DKC rom to edit with your Resource Editior, right?

Tools For My Ultimate Dream

Hi, this is my first DKC Atlas post. If it's not too late, I'm hoping to contribute (somehow) to the development of Leo Core's fan game "Donkey Kong Country 4: the Kongs Return". Since I was a kid, I've dreamed of creating (or at the very least help create) a true-SNES-styled Donkey Kong C...
