What is your favorite bonus from Donkey Kong Country? Mine was always the bonus with the high hit-point Klap Traps

I always quite liked the ones where you blast upwards through one of three lines of bananas to a 'mystery' prize:



Well, actually I didn't like those ones until I worked out how to reliably get the middle prize and land back in the barrel — that way I had already won something, and if the 'big prize' was still up there, I'd know whether to fire to the left or right. These were always some of the quicker bonuses, too, which I liked.

Those high hit-point Klaptraps were a good challenge, as were the 'guess which barrel' ones which required good focus and quick eyes. DKC had a great range of bonus area challenges.

Qyzbud, that one was great and all but I loved the Klap Trap ones too, the seemed to be fun since you actually hurt enemies.

I like the Oil Drum Alley bonus where you actually had to match 3 single bananas to get a barrel to open up A BONUS LEVEL INSIDE THE OTHER BONUS LEVEL!

(Stupidly frustrating on SNES, but GBC was easier.)

And, I also like the ones where you spell words using DK Letters.

Yeah, that was a well hidden bonus... too well hidden!

I remember my excitement at finally getting 101% from that super-secret bonus!

While the bonus inside of another bonus was very clever, I do also enjoy "Hitting the Klaptraps" as well.

Never thought about it like that! Bonuseption! Now if only Leonardo Dicaprio was inside the sub-bonus
