I will just use my imagination, then.

I've gotten to be pretty accurate before. Heck, before I came here and was still on Kongo Valley, I always picture him looking kind of like Chad Kroeger and I WAS RIGHT!

And I deserve a break. The six-weeks tests are at the end of the week. My teacher has her hands too full to read he comic. ARTISTS CAN SNAP WHEN NOT GIVEN BREAKS!

As Qyzbud suggested, I moved my post!

These are the paintings I'm working on for my dad's good buddy. He owns a restaurant and asked me to paint a mural for him on the side of the building.

This one is me and Ashley (she's on the left, I'm on the right on the step stool thing) working on section 2 of the painting

Carlo, the restaurant owner, is my pal! Neither of us have done anything like this before. We'll figure out a price later. I'm not even that worried about it, honestly. He's such a nice guy and he's always helped out my family and my family always helps out his. He's been feeding me when I work... gonna gain so much weight! :lol:

So delicious! I feel good knowing that I'm helping him out. Too bad none of you guys are close enough to me to check it out in person!

How are you painting this, besides by using a brush and a model picture? Did you draw out a sketch onto the wall and then paint it? Very wonderful job by the way!

I photoshopped the scene Carlo wanted, first. Then my dad and I projected it on the wall and drew in the lines of buildings and windows. Then I just kinda started painting. I'm hoping that the rest goes well... I'll be by myself for the last two panels. That worries me! Ashley is a MUCH better painter than I am... she helped out a hell of a lot.

It does look like a painting from the Renaissance, doesn't it? Well, Phyreburnz, since you've already proven to me that you're a master painter, the mural doesn't surprise me. I knew all along that you could paint something so rich, defined, and beautiful. So, once again, you've done a great job and I hope you do as well in the future.

sonosublime, your art looks familiar, which means I've probably seen Soul Eater somewhere before. Still, I like what you've done.

As for you, Kimi Kong, yours also triggers a recollection. The pictures sort of look like Ranma 1/2, especially the Magii ones. And I must say, your gallery must be seen to be believed.

I only pray I'm not biased.

I'd like to give you important constructive criticism for your picture, Kimi Kong, but I'm not sure how to judge it. I do have questions, if that makes you feel better. Is "The Light of my Night" a project you're working on? Are those two girls sisters? Just who are those young women? Is the one in red secretly hypnotizing the little green-haired lady to do all of the red one's dirty work, while she just sits back and profits? Does the green-haired girl truly love and respect the Lady in Red so much, that she's willing to die for the cause? Was I actually going somewhere with this, or am I just making stuff up?

Okay, I'm going to try to not explode all over this thread... but recently, I've been making some awesome stuff and I really want to share it.

The wolf is totally done. I need to get some better pictures, though, because the lighting in the ceramics studio is terrible. The lion isn't done. He's ready for the bisque kiln, and then I'll need to glaze him. I'm really nervous (excited, and scared) to see how he will look because the coloured slips change colours after you 1. bisque fire it and 2. after you glaze fire it. I'm hoping he'll look as good or better than he does now!

I have one more thing that I really *really* want to share, but can't... I have to wait until after Christmas time... I made a ring for my sister and I can't post any photos of it until after she gets it.

I got my tiles back from the glaze kiln. Now all I have to do is build a shadow box and grout the tiles in.

*EDIT* Not sure, but shouldn't Kimi's post be in the DKC-related art section? Kimi Kong? Qyzbud? It seems pretty DK related to me! :lol:

They aren't technically related. Though these are Kongs, they aren't actually canon, therefor not related. Trust me, i already had a discussion with Qyz about this. XD

I did have a hard time deciding, Kimi... and I think I made the wrong call.

Do you mind if I move your post to the DKC-related art topic? It really would fit in a lot better there, as Phyre suggested.

Back to the topic at hand... amazing ceramic work, Phyreburnz! I'm ever impressed by the diversity and strength of your artistic talents.
